THESES is a series of short-term academic schools and workshops at IIT Kharagpur that introduce participants to emerging and frontier areas of science, engineering, and related disciplines.
Eligibility

Faculty members of IIT Kharagpur may submit proposals to organize workshops and schools.

Proposals may be submitted independently or in collaboration with colleagues from other institutions.

Fellowship support
- Up to INR 5 lakhs per school or workshop
- Travel, accommodation (guest house), and hospitality for up to 5 experts
- Accommodation (hostel) and hospitality for up to 50 participants

Program Structure
Designed for senior undergraduate students, early graduate learners, and early-career researchers, the program offers focused immersion through advanced lectures, guided problem-solving, and exploratory project work. Each school or workshop is centred on a specific theme and reflects current directions in research and scholarship.
